**NEW** Available Art!!

Greetings from the Studio of HAD<>< !! :)

I have decided to start something new with Art4Africa! Beginning today you will find a new link on the left-hand "tool bar" of this site (over there where there's the link to "My Art"). You will see that this link is labeled "Available Art." Basically, these are pieces that I have done "for the fun of it" that are available for purchase through Art4Africa. Under each piece in the album you will find the size of the work, the medium used, and the requested donation price.

If one of these pieces catches your fancy and you would like to purchase it all you have to do is e-mail me! I'll try to post pictures of new works on a fairly regular bases, so check back for more variety!

I will continue to do "custom paintings" using the requested donation guide, but I'm hoping this will be easier for some of y'all. :)

Art-ing for HIS Glory,

Teaching Update

I have good news! I found out recently that I will be continuing as a nature study teacher's assistant at PCS! Though Art 4 Africa was originally started because I was not going to be teaching, I will continue it nonetheless. I am still very excited about using my art to support Selina and Compassion International!!

As a reminder, please e-mail me if you are interested in purchasing art.

Thank you for your support! :)

Pastel Drawing of Selina

Introducing Art 4 Africa

Hello All!

As many of you know, I love Africa-- especially Tanzania. Also, as many of you know, I love art-- especially painting. What some of you may not know, however, is that I sponsor a 1 year old baby in Karanse, Tanzania named Selina.

Selina lives with both her parents and her 3 older siblings. Because she is less than 4 years old, she is not yet eligible to be part of Compassion's sponsor program. I sponsor her through Perimeter Church's Under-4 Program. Each month, I send in $28 to provide Selina with food, clothing, medical care, and preschool. I also have the opportunity to write Selina and her family and send her small gifts throughout the year.

This past year I supported Selina with money I earned as a teacher's assistant. Now I am seeking new ways to provide for this precious child of God. I thought about my love of art and realized I could use it as a means to raise donation money.

I have been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. I love working with oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints as well as pastels. I love painting landscapes as well as some abstracts. With watercolors I also do nature studies (detailed representations of leaves, flowers, etc). My dabbling in pastels includes a few nature studies and a portrait of Selina (see above).

I'd like you to know that 100% of the profits from the donations I receive for my art through Art 4 Africa will go toward supporting Selina. If I raise funds above and beyond the cost of supporting her each year, 100% of those funds will be donated to Perimeter Church's ministry in Karanse or to Compassion International's work in Africa.
